EcoSmart Fire is fueled by
De-natured alcohol. De-natured alcohol can
be purchased from the paint section of a
hardware store for about $20-$25 per gallon.
De-natured alcohol is not Isopryl alcohol
or rubbing alcohol.
Marin Outdoor Living sells De-natured alcohol
by the case and because we buy it is such
large volume, as compared to a hardware
store which carries only a few gallons,
we offer it to the public at $15 per gallon.
The fuel is shipped in packaged in cases,
with 4 gallons in a case at $60 + shipping.
We use Fed-Ex and fuel usually will arrive
within 2-3 days from ordering.
An important point to remember or factor
in deciding whether EcoSmart is the product
for you is, how much heat do I really need
and how much will use this? EcoSmart fire
is a great product to get heat in a room
where you need some warmth or it is difficult
to get any 'connected' source of heat to.
It is also great for patios and bedrooms
for ambiance.
It is 'not' made to be a main heat source
where fuel would be
consumed on a mass consumption base.
The average EcoSmart customer goes through
one case of fuel for every 6 months, that
is about 40 hours of burn time every 6 months.
We believe that buying two cases of fuel
per year will be sufficient for most customers
and that this is 'far' easier than running
expensive gas lines, burning wood and cleaning
up after it, and or doing nothing with the
existing fireplace.
It is our hope that EcoSmart fire will
bring warmth to all of the abandoned fireplaces
and cheer to all the cold rooms in your
